Japan launches e-visa for Indian Tourists

As of April 1st, 2024, Japan has introduced electronic visas for holders of Indian passports. These visas will be granted for short-term stays of up to 90 days specifically for tourism purposes. Indian citizens can now apply for a Japanese visa via VFS Global and obtain an e-visa. Instead of a traditional visa sticker, applicants will receive a 'Visa Issuance Notice' featuring a two-dimensional barcode.
